How far along: 7 Weeks

Baby is the size of: Grape

Total weight gain: I think I need to buy a scale

Belly Size: 26" @ Waist, 35" @ Hips

Stretch Marks: None.

Movement: Nope.

Symptoms: Still tired.

Food cravings: Bananas and hard boiled eggs (just the whites)

Sick/queasy: Mornings Especially

Mood most of the time: Happy mostly, maybe a little feisty.

Best moment this week: Seeing our baby for the first time.

Daddy’s thoughts of the week: Reality set in as soon as the heartbeat filled the room.

Next appointment: April 9^th

Week 6

 

How far along: 6 Weeks

 



 Baby is the size of: Blueberry

Total weight gain: Zero

 Belly Size: 26 1/2 at belly button

 Movement: None

Stretch Marks: Nope

Symptoms: Very Sleepy

 

Food cravings: York's Peppermint Patty

Sick/Queasy: Not Really

Mood most of the time: Emotional

Best moment of the week: Getting to share the news with our family. Especially with my brother in law being in town to hear it in person.

Daddy's thought of the week: Still hasn't set in really, but very excited for the things to come.

Next Appointment: Tuesday March 26, Sonogram :) .

 

 

Week 5

 

How far along: 5 Weeks

 

Baby is the size of: Sweet Pea

 

Total weight gain: None...YET

 

Belly Size: 26 1/2 at belly button

 

Movement: None

 

Stretch Marks: Nope

 

Symptoms: Just a little crampy and tired; I feel very lucky

 

Food cravings: Boiled Shrimp Salad

 

Sick/Queasy: Nope

 

Mood most of the time: Emotional and Cranky

 

Best moment of the week: Telling Ben the amazing news.

 

Daddy's thought of the week: He is over the moon, can't wait for the doctor's appointment to see our little peanut

 

Next Appointment: Tuesday March 12... Can't get here soon enough.

 

 

 

Faster than Expecting...

So apparently GOD was ready for us to have a baby too because WE'RE PREGNANT! We officially tried for 1 month and BAM it happened! We were completely caught off guard, we expected it to take many many months. I have unfortunately too much experience with the loss of a baby so we are being very cautious. We are not spreading the good word until next weekend and only to our parents and siblings. I hate to say this but I almost feel too lucky, like something bad has to happen. There are so many people out there that try for months on end and I only had to wait one month--seems unreal. I am trying not to be too negative and enjoy this time, but it does make me feel a little guilty. We have an appt set for next Tuesday, so this will just be the longest week of my life!
Here are some pics of the actual day we found out. I have plans to take nice pictures every week, but on a Sunday morning when you're still in shock this is the best you can do.
